Theme of CHIPP:
Peace & Development Entries should center around the guarding of world peace and the development of global economies, technologies and cultures by depicting the achievements, conflicts and problem-solvings concerning such undertakings and
highlighting the changes and progresses made in people's life, as well as the fate, passion and willpower of mankind.
Our Mission:
The mission of CHIPP is to boost "Peace & Development". The contest will follow the recognized international practices, and choose winners from press photos that are created and published in the past year by photojournalists and photographers around the world.
Deadline:
The submission deadline falls on Feb. 15, 2008. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. The date on the stamp of an entry is regarded as its submission date.
Organizing Committee The organizing committee, namely the decision-making body of the China International Press Photo Contest (CHIPP) consists of the contest's host, organizer and co-organizer. Yu Ning, director of the Photojournalist Society of China, is the head of CHIPP's Organizing Committee. Hu Ying, standing deputy chairman and secretary-general of the Photojournalist Society of China, is the secretary-general of CHIPP's Organizing Committee.
Jury The 2007 CHIPP international jury is comprised of 13 renowned journalists, photojournalism theorists, photo editors and photojournalists from five continents.
