Reaux's home in the Low
er Ninth Ward was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina before
she ever got the chance to move in last August. Reaux says she and her family
moved into a donated gutted home in the Lower Ninth in February after FEMA would
no longer pay for her housing once she returned to the state of Louisiana. The
water is unsafe to drink in the area and many homes are completely
destroyed. |
