Working in the dust
Chu Yongzhi http://www.cnpps.org 2013-03-23 13:01:29
After the fork lifted, a worker was surrounded by dust and unable to open his eyes in Aksu gravel plant in Xin Jiang Province, Sept. 14, 2012.
In the mountains of mining, stone carving factories, gravel fields in the province of Fujian, Zhejiang and Xinjiang, there is a group of people who work in the dust. Everyday they work 10 hours in the thick dust and choking smell to get the pay of 3000 yuan to 6000 yuan a month. Many workers' health has been significantly infringed. However, in order to feed their families, most of them still choose to stick. At present, China has 6,000,000 pneumoconiosis migrant workers struggling in the danger zone.
