A neo-pagan attends ecstatic ritual devoted to fire during the celebration of the Veles Day at the neo-pagan shrine of Svarog in the Bitsevski Wood in Moscow, Russia. The Veles Day is one of the main winter Slavic pre-Christian festivals widely celebrated in modern Russia by Slavic neo-pagans known as Rodnovery.
The popularity of Slavic neo-paganism is increasing rapidly in Russia in recent years, especially in large cities. Disappointed with the Russian Orthodox Church as a traditional religion as well as with and the Russian authorities many people try to find the new way for their spiritual prosperity in the Slavic pre-Christian cults and traditions.
